MILWAUKEE -- The unprecedented recall elections of nine state senators -- three Democrats and six Republicans -- have cast an unusual light on politics in July and August.

When State Representative Sandy Pasch went door-to-door on Saturday, she asked potential voters for support and also reminded them that there are two upcoming elections.

"You know we have two elections coming up. There's the primary -- that's the fake election. That'll be July 12th. And then the real election against Alberta Darling will be August 9th. So I need your vote twice," Pasch told one person.
